Patio Fashion review 2016

Summer is here! And with the coming of warmer weather comes the fashion do’s and don’ts of the Summer 2016 season. Here are some things to keep in mind when purchasing your deck and patio decor this summer.

DO buy mixed materials.

Wicker and wood, cement and tile… they’re all working together to accent each other this season. With simulated materials being much easier to manufacture, sought after combinations of teak and tile or wicker and aluminum are becoming more common.

DON’T overuse bold colors.

Neutrals are still in - grays, beiges, browns. However, don’t throw out those bright blue accent pillows from last year! While the mainstay colors stay quiet, feel free to spruce up your deck or patio with some bright blues or reds.

DO converse with your guests.

Intimate seating is in. A cluster of deep couches or chairs around a fire table on a beautiful night make for a wonderful evening. Bar height tables and chairs have been popular this season.

DON’T go with a plain old firebowl.

The timeless attraction of the campfire is alive and well in a new generation of fire tables. Available in gas or for a traditional fire, these tables are aesthetically pleasing and can be put on your deck or patio.
